Big Al Gonzales' Bio

Big Al Gonzales is a Texas-based comedian, actor, and Marine Corps Veteran. His conversational style and dynamic stage presence captivates audiences around the world. Big Al has been featured on Texas Public Radio’s Worth Repeating, Idiotest on GSN, Pandora Radio, Spike TV’s Auction Hunters, and seen in the movie False Colors. He has also participated in SF Sketchfest, Santa Cruz Comedy Festival, San Diego Comedy Festival, SF Comedy Day, Big Lil’ Comedy Fest, SF Theater Fest, and was Director of Comedy for Austin Veteran Arts Festival. He won Funniest in South Texas and was a finalist for Funniest in Texas in 2018. His SF based improv troupe Big City Improv won “Best of The Bay 2002”. And he was nominated for an Irene Ryan Award for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical.

His work in VR with Failed to Render Comedy has landed him in The Washington Post, ABC News Vegas, Cracked, CNET, Forbes, WSJ, Der Spiegel, and Variety Magazine.
