Interested in stand-up comedy but not sure where to start?
Looking for some positive direction in writing and performing stand-up? Look no further!
National touring comedian Steve Trevino and LOL Comedy Club are offering a 6-week class on Sundays! Learn the basics from 4 veteran comedians who combined, have toured the country, released comedy specials and have performed on or written for some of your favorite TV shows!
The classes will focus on helping students find their authentic comedic voice while teaching the fundamentals of joke structure, timing, and delivery. Our team's approach is supportive, practical, and grounded in real-world comedy experiences-- making the class perfect for beginners and newer comics. We offer a combination of both instruction and feedback.
Our Instructors:
•Steve Trevino - National Touring Comedian, Podcaster, Writer and performer. With Several specials on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Showtime and HBO, Steve is one of the top comedians in the country.
•Brian Hartt - Head Writer MAD TV, Head Writer Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Writer for Kids In The Hall and The Tonight Show•Cleto Rodriguez - Comedy Central, Dry Bar Comedy, Winner Funniest In South Texas, San Antonio TV Personality.
•Al Gonzales - Winner Funniest In South Texas 2018 and seen on Amazon Prime, Spike TV, Food Network. Local comedy coach.
Our team will show you the skills and techniques to help you build a five-minute set. We promise to make you at least funnier than the day you walk into class, using the many tips and tricks that all stand-up comics have used to help create and perform their stand-up acts. Once the 6-weeks are completed, all students will show off their hard work in a graduation showcase hosted by National Headliner, Steve Trevino! All your friends and family will have the opportunity to see you shine at LOL Comedy Club, the premiere venue for stand-up in San Antonio!

Basic Info:
Classes occur on Sundays, with a GRADUATION showcase!
Classes are from 3 PM - 5 PM.
The graduation show will take place on Sunday, August 17.
The class cost must be paid in full before the first class.
There are no make-up classes for a missed day.
Bring a positive attitude and be ready and willing to take constructive feedback!
MATERIALS NEEDED:
•Notebook/pen or Digital device for writing down notes and material
•Open mind and willingness to learn
•Comfortable clothes for movement.
