Interested in musical concerts in Dallas?

Then this is your lucky day because Dallas plays host to a wide range of musical talent. From Deep Ellum and cool jazz to big stage, live concert events at the American Airlines Center (which has a capacity of over 21,000), to the smaller Gexa Energy Pavilion (that seats 2000), there are always concerts and live music events in and around the Dallas area.

No matter if you are looking for blues or local bands, the Dallas area has enough concerts and musical shows to keep you busy all year round.

There are a wide variety of genres in the metroplex that you can explore. The Winspear Opera Center for instance, features, you guessed it, live opera. The ever so chic interior sports an unbelievably intricate ruby red chandelier you just have to experience to appreciate.
The venue was cleverly designed to highlight its acoustics rather than the seating capacity. Well worth a visit for those who are dedicated to the finer things in life.
Speaking of the finer things, nothing sounds better than genuine laughter.

If you really want to experience some amazing live concert performances, there is one surprising venue that you may not have thought of.

The Improv in Arlington. Why the Improv?
Many people do not realize that some of the funniest comics are also very musically inclined. From the Blues Brothers to Jack Black, quite a few comics are not only funny, they are epic musicians too.
Steve Martin keeps it old school and plays, of all things, a banjo. You may laugh so hard milk comes out of your nose ( if you were drinking it, which we do not recommend, cuz…well, it’s milk, and you should have a cold brew instead).

If you enjoy concerts and comedy shows, you need to check out the Improv in Arlington where some of the top comedians in the biz like to play musical gigs at small, intimate spaces the day before they do their set for the big, impersonal stadium crowd.

Be sure and check it out. You might just get to meet some of the biggest in the business and enjoy a rocking concert at a smaller venue…where you do not have to sit in the nosebleed section.
